Apple MacBook Pro Memory Upgrades

The Apple MacBook Pro is a full featured notebook computer from Apple that includes many advanced features over the lesser MacBook models including a bigger screen, faster processor and more connectivity options for hard drives, monitors and other Apple products such as the Apple iPhone and iPod.
But one thing that both the consumer based and professional notebooks from Apple lack is the maximum memory that’s possible to install. This applies, and is even more important to the MacBook Pro models as there’s a good chance that you bough the high end Apple notebook to make your living with in some fashion and paid a premium too, only to have the MacBook Pro’s performance crippled by lack of MacBook Pro memory upgrades.
There’s a few reasons Apple only ships Apple MacBook Pros with about half of the current memory upgrades that are possible for these Apple notebooks and the first reason is price. Even though RAM is cheap, when it’s added to a computer it raises the cost of the computer so to keep the costs down Apple usually ships every Mac with enough memory installed to comfortably run the Mac OS and a few of the included Apple applications such as iTunes or iMovie.
And for some MacBook Pro users, the default memory configuration works just fine for the light computing tasks such as email and web surfing, so why change it if it works is their thinking. But for professional computer users, who actually use their computer to make a living and anything that can be done to their MacBook Pro to make it run faster, smoother and allow them to open more Applications at the same time makes so much sense as the increased performance overall is worth so much more than the small cost of a RAM upgrade.
