People will enter certain search words, so you have optimize your site for a couple of popular search words. There is much competition out there so please concentrate one one to three words only. How do you do that? Here are some of simple rules:
1. Put the words you've chosen into the title-tag of your page.
2. Put the words into the link text pointing to your page.
3. Put the words into the description meta-tag of your page.
4. Put the words into h1 Tags. Search engines will rate words in h1 tags high.
5. Use plural forms of the words as well.
The next thing you have to do is a link campaign. This means getting lots of links to your page. Choose quality links, e.g. links from sites which are ranked high in the search engines results. Search engines do not count multiple links from one other page twice - links from different (Class-C) IP addresses are valuable. You can enter your site to a couple of free Web Directories (one good example is this international Web Directory katulago - the server is located in Germany so you are sure to get a link from a unqieu Class-C IP). You may also want to write a short article including one or two links to your site and submit it to Article Directores (one good example is this international Article Diretory or German Artikelverzeichnis). Keep in mind that SEO works is an ongoing process, so you may try to get more links all the time. You may also optimize some sub-pages for different search words and do a link cmapaign for these pages as well.
Finally, you need time. Search engines update the rankings of pages only 3 or 4 times a year. So when you just launched your site, you have to do the SEO work and than weit a couple of month. The actual positions of pages in the search result list are updated every couple of days, so you can always optimize your site for search words once you have a good basic ranking in the search engines.
